Ceftriaxone 1000 mg + Tezobactum 125 mg Injection

Description

Ceftriaxone + Tezobactum are a combination of two medicines. The combination is used as an antibiotic available in the form of injections. The quantity of combined medicine in the Injection is 1.125 GM and packed in a Vial with water. The strength of Ceftriaxone is 1000 mg and that of Tazobactam is 125 mg. The injection is available under the brand name ‘XONERATE TZ’. This drug is beneficial in eradicating infections of the throat, skin, urinary tract, nose, lungs, and surgical sites. It forms bacterial cell walls and kills them. But, the injection is not useful in viral infections.

Ceftriaxone is a third-generation cephalosporin that comes in the beta-lactamase group of antibiotics. Ceftriaxone is an antibiotic that prevents the formation of the bacteria and Tazobactam is a beta-lactamase inhibitor that decreases resistance and augments the activity of Ceftriaxone against bacteria.
