OBENCLAV 625 Amoxycillin 500 mg + Clavulanic Acid 125 mg Tablet is a penicillin-type antibiotic prescribed to treat infections caused by bacteria. It is used to treat infections of the lungs, ear, nasal sinus, urinary tract, skin, and soft tissue. It will not work for viral infections.
The most common side effects of this medicine include vomiting, nausea, and diarrhea. These are usually mild but let your doctor know if they bother you or will not go away.
Indication
The strength of 500 mg of amoxicillin and 125 mg are prescribed to fight against infections caused by a variety of bacteria and maintain the balance of healthy gut bacteria. It prevents the growth of bacteria. But, this combination of antibiotics is not effective for viral infections. It is used only for bacterial infection in the respiratory tract, infections in the genitourinary system (reproductive system and urinary system), and infections of tooth, skin, and bone infection.

Administration of Dosage
OBENCLAV 625 Amoxycillin 500 mg + Clavulanic Acid 125 mg is medically advised to be taken with a meal to decrease the chance of a stomach upset. The dose may be taken with plenty of water so that you may not upset your stomach. Complete the course of taking treatment of this combination of antibiotics as prescribed by your medical professional even in case you feel better. Skipping the treatment earlier than prescribed may cause a recurrence of infection and in that case, it becomes more difficult to manage. It depends upon the doctor about the dose to be prescribed depending on the medical condition of the patient, age, and weight, but average dose recommendations are 500 mg amoxicillin, and 125 mg of Clavulanic acid. MISSED DOSE As applicable in most medicines, this principle is also applicable to this combination drug in case you forget to take the dose at a scheduled time, take it immediately but if the time has reached near to the regular time of the next dose, then skip the same to avoid double dosing of the medicine.
